5 Ways To Choose the Topic For Thesis Making

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

  1.     Choose a topic to study that is applicable in your community or a
topic that is related to your job or related to your specialization.
  2.
List at least 3 topics as your target for your research.
  3.
Choose only 1 topic from the 3 topics for your research.  Solicit the opinion of your friends, mentors
and or teacher in charge to decide what topic is the right for you.
  4.
Make a literature review from well known magazines, reliable web sites in
internet, libraries and some other sources.
  5.      Make a conceptual framework by answering a problem that was never yet answered
    by previous studies.

This
chapter presents the research design, the description of the
subjects/respondents, the sampling procedure that was used, the data gathering
procedure, the administration of the instrument and the treatment of data.

Research Design

The researcher  chose the descriptive research design, using
survey as the main tool in gathering the data. These were qualitative data
where its mean purpose was to determine the extent of factors associated with
disruptive behavior of grade IV and V pupils. Data collection were taken from
the respondents chosen by the use of random sampling. The conditions or
relationships that existed, opinions that are held, processes that are going
on, effects that are evident, or trends that are developing were described
using the instrument. It primarily draws attention to the present although it
often considers past events and influences as they relate it to current
conditions.

Summary, Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations

This chapter presents
the summary and findings, discuss relevant conclusions, suggest
recommendations, in the light of the conclusions drawn from the study.

Summary

            This
study attempted to determine the
extent of factors associated with disruptive behavior affecting
the school performance of Grade IV and V pupils in Cabanglasan District, school
year 2013-2014.

            This study
employed the descriptive method.  The
respondents were the 43 teachers of Cabanglasan District, Cabanglasan,
Bukidnon.  Extent of disruptive behavior
of pupils was taken based on the answer of the respondent using the
questionnaire. Teachers’ observations to the pupils during class hours or
during classroom instruction were reflected in the questionnaire. Statistical
tools were frequency counts, computed weighted average and regression.

            The instrument was administered
personally by the researcher
to the teachers with pupils
who were identified as having disruptive behavior among the grade 4 and grade 5
pupils in Cabanglasan District, school year 2013-2014. Purposive sampling was
used in selecting the respondents, picking all the cases that meet the
criterion. The teachers answered their questionnaire during vacant time and or
anytime that were convenient to them.
Other teachers answered their questionnaire at home.

Summary, Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations

Recommendations:

            Based on the findings and
conclusions, the following recommendations are presented:
Dep-Ed authorities like
school administrator, teachers, and staff should maximize their capacity and
initiative to tap stakeholders to work hand in hand for the improvement of the
pupils. Interventions must be done to help pupil with desirable values and
equip them with different skills of their interests.

Staff of DSWD who is in
charge of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) must design a seminar
workshop for the parent to know and learn more of their responsibilities as
parents and able them to understand the behavior of their children.

Dep-Ed communities and
stakeholders must work collectively to plan out in-service trainings for
teachers as well as school administrators on matters pertaining to minimizing
or even controlling the disruptive behavior of children by improving their
school facilities and some other priorities for the children’s’ welfare making
them good citizens in the future. Sort of a program or an organization that
parents and children will interact with the cooperation/guidance of Dep-Ed
personnel.

Summary, Findings, Conclusions and Recommendation

Conclusions:

In the light of the findings, the following
conclusions emerged:

There were more Grade IV and V male
pupils compared to female pupils in Cabanglasan District aging 11 years old and
above. They are considered as over age pupils. They are children of parents who
were Elementary graduates and have a big family. Their parents are busy and
very occupied. Thus they were not given enough support both financially and
emotionally.

The
greater the grade 4 and grade 5 pupils were exposed to disruptive behavior in
terms of overt inattentiveness, misbehavior, aggressiveness and highly
disruptive behavior on persistent tardiness and laziness during classroom
instructions, the greater the chances that their school performance will also
be affected.

“Parents
intervention” is found to be the best solution, however support from the  teachers, school administrators and other
member of the community must work hand in hand to find ways and means to lessen
if not eliminate the behavior of the pupils especially on tardiness and
laziness.

Grade
IV and V pupils were affected when there are disruptive behavior that occurred
such as overt inattentiveness, misbehavior, aggressiveness, and persistent
tardiness and laziness. Findings also revealed that disruptions affected not
only the concerned pupil but all individual found in the class.

Parents’
intervention cannot guarantee that disruptive behavior will be minimizedin the
class unless, somebody in authority will educate them on parenthood”.

CHAPTER 5

SUMMARY
This chapter presents the summary of findings, the conclusion drawn, and the recommendations offered.

This study attempted to answer the question related to the effect of teenage pregnancy on educational development of students  and out-of-school youth in Maramag, Bukidnon. Firstly, this study endeavored to identify perception of the respondents on the causes of teenage pregnancy in terms of the following factors: the family, with a mean of 4.13, the respondents agreed that their parents are not open about the use of contraceptives at home; the levels of educational attainment of parents is low and the income is not enough to support the family. The respondents also agreed that parents don’t talk about consequences of plan or unplanned indulgence of sex. Secondly, this study attempted to find out the causes of teenage pregnancy as perceived by the respondents in terms of community factor. The findings showed that the respondents agreed to all indicators stated in the questionnaire.
A self-made questionnaire was employed to gather data of the study. Average Weighted Mean was used to find out the extent of teenage pregnancy among the respondents. T-test was also used to test the significant difference of the extent of the educational development when respondents were grouped according to age, educational attainment, type of school attended and the socio economic status of the family. Step-wise regression analysis was used to analyze which among the causes of teen-age pregnancy greatly affect the respondent’s educational development.
